Wahhabi Contention: Asharis consider proving the existence of God their utmost priority

Wahhabi Contention: The people of kalaam, of all stripes, considered proving the existence of God to be their utmost priority.

Sunni Response: As if this is something bad. This is because this is the basis for knowing Allah; knowing that His existence is a must. In any case, we are not interested in your opinion, we are interested only in verdicts. Are you saying it is haram? If it isn’t haram, then by what right are you blaming us?

  1. loveProphet says:

    Assalam-o-Alaikum,

Is it possible also that this blog deals with refuting the kuffar such as the atheists and their philosophies considering that such refutations are needed amongst the Muslim communities in the west(as i live in London)?

    JazakAllah Khair

Alhamdolillah wa shukrillah, the primary purpose of this blog is to counter only the Wahhabis, their contentions against the Ahl al Sunnah wal Jama’ah and any of their baseless beliefs. It is up to the Shaykh providing the material to write anything on atheism etc., if he so wishes.

    wa `alaykum salam

    Ibn Mazhar

  3. loveProphet says:

    Walaikum us Salam,

Ok cool, at least please suggest to him the idea?

By the way, i loved this extract, it also shows how the wahabis have no clue about the intellectual battles being fought in this age where God is doubted by many and the Ash’aris in the past took up the challenge(having foreseen it) by proving the existence of God.
After all, a chess player is beaten by chess, not by checkers as Sheikh Nuh Keller mentioned.
If we only had the wahabis, many of us would either be heretics or just kuffar. Allah Most High guides whomever He wills.

  4. Ibn Mazhar says:

as salam `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

As you can probably observe that on the top there is a section called “Refuting Atheism.” Insha Allah we hope to be adding relevant material in that section.

    Keep us in your duas.

    wa `alaykum salam

    Ibn Mazhar
